Gabriel KOJO APPIAH
Ceo, BTL Africa Group
Gabriel, who sits atop West Africa’s biggest and most influential experiential marketing agency, knows as much about seeing and bringing to life the essence of client organizational brands as anyone. His Sub Saharan -based company (BTL AFRICA) provides some of the Continent’s largest and most respected brands with an unmatched an impeccable cadence of continually evolving innovative sales and marketing strategies. With a seed fund of GH¢1,200, Gabriel has lead his team to organically grow the business units to a current estimated value of GH¢50 million in 4 years.
In the process his company employed 50 permanent staff and over 3,000 casuals yearly across borders. Gabriel has thus become the only Ghanaian in recent times to export creative marketing with brick and mortar presence in 6 countries. Though Gabriel sees some challenges in the current make up for Africa, he’s very optimistic about the change and impact institutions like his can bring. He is in this for the long haul and is determined to win.
Under his leadership, In 2016, the BTL group successfully executed over one thousand ground breaking experiential services for major brands such as Diageo, Vodafone, Nestle, PnG, PZ Cussons, SC Johnson, Shell, BetWay and Samsung, an unprecedented feat in the experiential sales and marketing space. Such growth and drive helped propel the company into being recognized as the Most Innovative Corporate Event Organizer, by the Ghana Events Awards last year. Gabriel’s genuine passion for the youth in ensuring they reach their maximum potential drove him to begin the BTL Foundation. The foundation essentially supports Ghanaian Youth by bridging the gap between the haves and the have nots.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Sam has 14 years of experience in the Experiential Industry in West and East Africa Markets. He specializes in New Africa Start-ups and has worked withPan African Brands such as Diageo (EABL & GGBL), Heineken (SLBL),Vodafone – Launch to a strong No 2, Safaricom (Mpesa Launch), Airtel, Coca Cola, Ecobank, Henkel, NESTLE®. Sam brings the following skills on board:

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Elloeny has 13years experience in Media & Marketing, having worked for some of the leading media and marketing organizations in Ghana. He is currently the Chief Commercial Officer for BTL AFRICA a Pan-African marketing agency with operations in Ghana, Nigeria and five other African countries. He has been involved in brand building and management for key brands for the last 8years through direct marketing activities, media placement/buy and general advertising campaign designs.
Elloeny has extensive experience in sports sponsorship management as well having worked for Nestle Ghana on the sponsorship of its key asset, the Accra Milo Marathon among many others. He also successfully managed the sponsorship arrangement between GoldFields Ghana Limited and the Ghana National team, the Black Stars. The highlight of the sponsorship was the team’s qualification to the FIFA World Cup, South Africa 2010 with Gold Fields as the lead sponsor. This involved activating and leveraging the sponsorship through media, community & stakeholder engagements in order to project Gold Fields’ role in the team’s success prior to, during and after the tournament.
He has in-depth knowledge of the Ghanaian media landscape with over 18 years’ experience of TV & Radio presentation and production working for the leading radio and television stations in Ghana. This wide range of media management experience, as well as contacts and access to the Ghanaian media and the political landscape is brought to bear on brand executions. Elloeny is also a solicitor/barrister in Ghana and has a practice that focuses on transaction advice for commercial entities as well as talent [artiste/athlete] representation.
Country Manager, BTL Africa
John is standing on 12 years’ of experience in the Experiential Industry, he supports the strategic design & execution of campaigns and has worked with several brands across various industries. Among these are the in-depth brands handled from an African wide perspective –Diageo, Unilever, Nestle, Vodafone, Wilmar, Safaricom, GSK , PZ Cussons , P&G, Airtel , Barclays Bank, etc. John also brings shared learning’s from a wider background having had experience in working across various countries across Africa – Kenya , Tanzania , Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone & Nigeria tweaking each experience to its local context. With a strong analytical and Execution background, John also sense checks all campaigns designed to include desired ROI
